VPs serve as the ultimate client relationship owner, ensuring their programs are delivering measurable business impact while advancing V2’s reputation for excellence. This role blends sophisticated client counsel, strong team and portfolio management, business development, and leadership in developing firm best practices.Key ResponsibilitiesMaintain strategic oversight and accountability for the health, performance, and growth of their client portfolioServe as a senior advisor to C-suite client leaders, providing expert counsel on communications strategy, issue management, and high-stakes initiativesLead strategic planning and campaign development for major initiatives, ensuring alignment with client business objectivesTranslate strategic vision into go-forward plan for account teams and contribute to execution where neededDrive organic growth by identifying and securing new opportunities within existing accountsLead new business efforts, from prospecting and proposal development to pitch presentations, often in collaboration with other senior leadersDevelop and implement firm-wide best practices, tools, and approaches that elevate the firm’s workMentor, coach, and develop account leaders and teams, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvementMonitor industry and market trends to identify opportunities and risks for clients and the firmRepresent V2 at industry events, networking opportunities, and in public-facing forums to enhance V2’s visibility and reputationOther duties as necessaryQualificationsBachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, journalism, marketing, English, or a related field9+ years of PR or communications agency experience, with a strong record of success in B2B technology generally, with some in health tech specificallyProven ability to lead strategic, integrated communications programs for complex organizationsStrong business development skills, including prospecting, pitching, and closingDemonstrated leadership ability, with experience managing senior teams and influencing firm-wide decisionsExceptional communication skills, including writing, presenting, and relationship buildingDeep understanding of media landscapes, communications best practices, and evolving trendsThis is a full-time hybrid role and will be expected to work from our Boston office at least twice per week, depending on client and team needs. Up to 15% day and overnight travel, as well as occasional after-hours events for client and V2 purposes, may be required.V2 Communications is an equal opportunity employer.
