As a Traffic Demand Modeler, you will lead and oversee the development of comprehensive traffic models for various projects, ensuring accuracy and reliability.What are the core responsibilities for the role?Lead the development and implementation of travel demand models for transportation projects.Experience with microsimulation and other traffic analysis techniques is a plus, but not requiredServe as a technical authority on travel modeling methodologies, tools, and best practicesCollaborate with project managers, engineers, and planners to integrate modeling into project deliveryManage modeling tasks, schedules, and deliverables from project initiation through completionPresent technical findings and recommendations to clients, stakeholders, and agenciesReview and ensure quality of modeling work through established QA/QC processesMentor and develop junior staff, supporting technical growth and career progressionQualifications, Skills, and Competencies: 12+ years of experience in traffic and transportation modelingBachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Planning or related field from an accredited program, or equivalent experience.Strong expertise in travel demand modelingProficiency with at least one travel demand modeling tool such as Cube, TransCAD, and/or TransModelerDemonstrated experience leading technical teams and delivering complex transportation projectsStrong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey technical concepts to diverse audiencesWhy would a candidate want this job?
