Quality Assurance Manager

QA/QC Manager – Los Angeles, CAOur client, a well‑established general contractor with a strong portfolio of public and institutional work, is seeking an experienced QA/QC Manager to oversee quality assurance and quality control across active construction projects in the Los Angeles area. This individual will play a critical role in ensuring all work meets project specifications, regulatory requirements, and the company’s internal quality standards.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee daily implementation of the project’s Quality Management and Quality Control program through site walks, audits, and ongoing reviews.Meet with subcontractors approximately three weeks prior to their start date to review submittal status, outstanding RFIs, and material readiness.Establish and track subcontractor KPIs to measure quality performance across all phases of the project.Ensure QA/QC requirements are clearly communicated and incorporated into subcontractor activities, delivered materials, and purchase orders.Maintain and update action item logs, ensuring timely follow‑up and resolution.Develop, manage, and verify the project punch list to ensure all deficiencies are addressed.Conduct field inspections to confirm work aligns with approved construction methods, plans, and specifications.Prepare testing and commissioning method statements in coordination with vendors, subcontractors, and the owner’s representatives.Lead the preparation of final turnover documentation, including QA/QC records, testing reports, and commissioning packages.Verify that subcontractors correct all deficiencies identified by the project team.QualificationsMinimum 5 years of QA/QC experience on DSA or LAUSD projects (required).Strong understanding of construction quality standards, documentation, and commissioning processes.Ability to collaborate effectively with subcontractors, field teams, and project stakeholders.Detail‑oriented, organized, and proactive in identifying and resolving quality issues.
