Sr. Accounting Manager

Job Description Key ResponsibilitiesLead end-to-end accounting operations, including AP, AR, accruals, fixed assets, payroll, and intercompany accounting.Own month-end close; review journal entries, reconciliations, and prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements under U.S. GAAP.Oversee revenue recognition, lease, and stock-based compensation accounting.Manage fulfillment accounting, including coordination of year-end audit physical inventory counts.Monitor cash flow and support annual budgeting.Manage statutory compliance, including sales/use tax, franchise tax, and other local filings such as VAT as applicable.Support annual audits and ensure audit-ready documentation.Drive process improvements, accounting automation, and internal control enhancements.Manage payroll operations in ADP Workforce Now, including 401(k) contributions and payroll compliance.Partner cross-functionally with business operation teams, including HR.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred.8+ years of progressive accounting experience; public accounting experience preferred.Strong U.S. GAAP knowledge with hands-on experience in ASC 606 and lease accounting.Proven experience in eCommerce, fulfillment, or distribution-heavy environments.Demonstrated success in process optimization, automation, and internal control design.Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical capabilities.Detail-oriented, hands-on leader with strong communication skills.Compensation & BenefitsBase salary: $150,000 – $170,000 (based on experience and location)Discretionary quarterly performance bonus401(k), health (medical, dental, vision), FSAPaid time off and sick leaveStock optionsApplicants will need to pass the background check in order to be hired for the role.ShipSage, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity EmployerCompany DescriptionGaatu, Inc. is a fast-growing eCommerce distributor and fulfillment service provider, supporting high-volume, multi-channel operations across inventory, warehousing, and order fulfillment.
