Position Title: QUALITY ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN QUALITY ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN- must be able to lift 25+lbs. Reports To: Quality Manager EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: 1. High School / Ged – required 2. Minimum 2 yrs. Associates Degree / Technical Training, or completion of an accredited Engineering Technician Certification program. 3. Completion of ACAD Skills training (Basic level at least) 4. Completion of Visio Skills training (Basic level at least) 5. Basic database knowledge – i.e., Access Databases, Oracle Databases, etc. 6. Microsoft Office knowledge – Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook 7. Video Recording and ability to edit video. Upon position offer acceptance - applicant must provide references with 2 yrs. of On-The-Job verifiable experience or Copies of School Transcripts must be submitted. PRACTICAL and PHYSICAL SKILLS 1. Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods of time 2. Ability to extensively use hands and fingers 3. Must be able to lift to 30 pounds 4. Critical thinking and problem-solving skills 5. Communication and presentation abilities 6. Troubleshooting expertise and attention to detail 7. Experience in project management a plus 8. Good mathematic skills MATHEMATICAL, LANGUAGE, and COMMUNICATION SKILLS 1. Ability to read, write, add, subtract, multiply, and divide 2. Ability to operate a computer and ability to learn various computer programs and tools 3. Ability to analyze and interpret various technical documents 4. Ability to communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization 5. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form 6. Ability to deal with problems involving concrete variables in standardized situations Duties you will be assisting with: Design the layout of facilities and determine personnel requirements Help analyze operations and design workflows and production processes to reduce loss along the way while still meeting customer needs Time Studies, Production Delay Studies, and Video Documentation Develop design and production standards in cooperation with management and user personnel Prepare material and equipment lists, purchase orders, cost analyses and estimated production costs Train staff for new processes and provide instructions and manuals Help monitor our current operations to ensure our organization is as efficient as possible Help maximize productivity and reduce wastefulness in the production process Developing and implementing process improvements and technological upgrades Reviewing production schedules, processes, specifications, and related information Designing production processes that maximize efficiency and reduce waste Design control systems to minimize costs and production issues Ensuring products meet established quality standards and reducing inefficiency. Oversee quality control of a production process to reduce loss and find ways to improve the efficiency of each area of production within an organization. Design efficient production processes to eliminate waste and make the most of every resource involved in manufacturing products.
