We are seeking a professional, service-driven Front Desk Agent to serve as the face of our hotel and deliver seamless, memorable experiences from arrival to departure. This role is ideal for someone who is polished, attentive, and passionate about delivering thoughtful, detail-oriented service.About The RoleAs a Front Desk Agent, you will play a key role in shaping each guest’s stay while supporting daily front office operations. You will welcome guests, manage check-in and check-out, verify billing details, and assist with reservations, including modifications, extensions, and upgrades.What You’ll DoProvide a warm, professional welcome to all guestsAnticipate guest needs and resolve concerns promptly and effectivelyShare knowledge of hotel amenities and local attractionsEnsure a seamless check-in and check-out experienceVerify reservations, billing details, and payment methodsAssign rooms and manage inventory according to hotel standardsProcess payments and maintain accurate guest recordsAssist with creating and modifying reservationsPromote room upgrades and hotel services when appropriateCoordinate dining, transportation, and local experiencesCollaborate with housekeeping, bell services, and other departmentsManage guest communications, calls, packages, and special requestsFollow all cash handling, privacy, and operational proceduresSupport daily balancing and additional front office tasks as neededWhat You Bring2+ years of front desk or guest services experience, preferably in a luxury hotelExcellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skillsStrong attention to detail with the ability to multitask effectivelyExperience with hotel systems and Microsoft OfficeProfessional demeanor with a guest-first mindsetFamiliarity with the Santa Monica / Los Angeles area preferredAbility to perform in a fast-paced, service-oriented environmentSchedule & ExpectationsFlexible availability, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidaysAbility to stand or walk for extended periodsAbility to lift up to 20 lbs occasionallyComfortable working indoors and outdoors in varying conditionsMaintain a polished appearance in line with hotel grooming standardsBenefits & PerksCompetitive medical, dental, and vision benefitsBasic life insurance401(k) with auto-enrollment after 60 daysPaid time off, including vacation, sick leave and holidays*Why OceanaHotel Oceana Santa Monica offers a boutique environment where quality is prioritized over quantity, and every detail matters.
