Each year, MercyFirst serves more than 3,000 children, teenagers and families overcome enormous obstacles, re-imagine their futures and develop their full potential.Program BackgroundMercy First partnered with ACS to establish a new Clinical Support Program to serve families experiencing challenges with unmet clinical needs in the borough of Queens. The Clinical Support program is an interdisciplinary team of licensed clinicians and support staff, all of whom support families navigating challenges in the areas of mental health, addiction, and IPV. The Clinical Support team works with CPS Teams and/or directly with impacted families to ensure optimal service delivery. The team assists with family engagement approaches, with assessing/screening for the most pressing needs, and with identifying and facilitating connections to relevant resources.Position SummaryThe Supervisor is responsible for direct supervision, coaching and support to assigned Clinicians and will report to the Program Director. At least one of the Supervisors will hold experience in intimate partner violence. The Supervisor position involves managing equitable workloads, ensuring proper interventions are being conducted and tracking and reviewing required documentation. This position also involves the recruitment of new staff, onboarding/acclimating new staff through job supervision as well as official related training. Supervisors would be expected to develop and maintain current linkage lists of service providers in the community as referral sources. Supervisor can sign off on clinical hours towards a clinical license earned in this position. Near the LIRR.Required QualificationsThe Supervisor holds a minimum of an LMSW with 5 years of related experience. Strong leadership, administrative, and supervisory skills with the ability to monitor and implement high volumes of workflows, as well as leading an interdisciplinary team of 4 clinicians and a CASAC. Familiarity with navigating electronic platforms such as Connections for documentation reviews and tracking of all data pertinent to facilitating best outcomes.Strong working knowledge of mental health, substance use, and IPV. The ability guide and direct clinical staff in all 3 areas of practice, providing regular supervision and adherence to best practices.As with all Child Welfare related positions, this role will require a robust background check, and a clean driving record is encouraged. ResponsibilitiesThe Supervisor will oversee the day-today of the unit’s clinical staff (3 clinicians + 1 CASAC), according to program deliverables and regulations.Hire and provide oversight of training for clinical program staff at ACS field offices in Queens. Responsible for direct supervision of 3 clinicians and a CASAC.Monitor and review all unit related data/documentation and ensure compliance with program requirements and regulations.Attend all required meetings and ensure strong collaboration with ACS staff, as well as establish and maintain linkages with other systems that interface with the Clinical Support program unit.Report to one of the assigned Queens-based ACS offices.
