Senior Full-Stack Engineer / Tech Lead (Node.js & React)

We are looking for a strong software engineering leader able to spearhead a brand-new, strategic engineering cell!AI/R Avenue Code is forming a high-impact squad to take end-to-end ownership of new product roadmap initiatives for a cutting-edge, AI-driven enterprise SaaS platform. As the foundational technical hire on this initiative, you will act as a Tech Lead within a lean, highly senior team, architecting scalable backend systems, driving technical design, and delivering features with speed, quality, and complete autonomy. The expectation is that this team can operate with independence, speed, and quality, delivering new features without creating alignment overhead for the current team.Main Responsibilities:Take features from problem definition and architectural design through to production delivery.Build robust, scalable backend architectures primarily using Node.js and TypeScript, while contributing to the frontend in React.Operate within a senior squad, making technical trade-offs and architectural decisions without requiring heavy managerial oversight.Balance delivery velocity, technical sustainability, and business impact in a fast-paced enterprise SaaS ecosystem.Participate in architectural decisions, technical design, and the definition of implementation approaches.Required Qualifications:10+ years of professional software engineering experience, with a proven track record in a Tech Lead, Staff Engineer, or Technical Leadership role.Strong hands-on expertise in Node.js backend architecture, API design, and system scalability.Solid hands-on experience building modern, responsive user interfaces with React.js.Strong experience with TypeScript and a background in B2C/B2B SaaS product environments.Excellent business acumen, strong trade-off reasoning, and comfort working in lean, high-performing teams.Engagement DetailsContract Type: Full-time B2B Contractor (40 hours/week).Location: 100% Remote.Schedule Alignment: Working during European Business Hours (CET/BST).Avenue Code reinforces its commitment to privacy and to all the principles guaranteed by the most accurate global data protection laws, such as GDPR, LGPD, CCPA and CPRA.
