Server Systems Engineer - Level 2
LOCATION: Anchorage, Alaska | Monday thru FridayPosition requires an active TS/SCI with polygraph level clearance. US citizenship is required.Designs and defines system architecture for new or existing computer systems.Maintains an organization's computer systems' workflows and is responsible for the upkeep, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems, including fixing network issues along with updating equipment and software.Provide technical support in the management of networks, software, hardware, configurations, and architectures.Troubleshoots moderately complex system hardware and software issues.Trains end users on the proper use of hardware and software.Performs software installations and upgrades to operating systems and layered software packages.Monitors and tunes systems to achieve optimum performance levels.Ensures workstation/server data integrity by implementing standard software and hardware solutions.Ensures data/media recoverability by following a schedule of system backups and database archive operations.Conducts hardware and software audits of workstations and servers to ensure compliance with established standards, policies, and configuration guidelines.Ensures that performance and security of computers meet the needs of network users.May evaluate existing systems and assist with planning long-term strategies.May coach and provide guidance to less-experienced professionals.ExperienceSystems AdministrationSystems ArchitectureEDUCATIONHS Diploma or GED with Nineteen (19) years of experience as a SA in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.Bachelor's with Fourteen (14) years of experience as a SA in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.RequirementsPosition requires an active TS/SCI with polygraph level clearance. US citizenship is required.IAT Level II Certification Required.SalaryThe likely salary range is up to $158K. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
