If you're passionate about making a difference in this critical field, we invite you to explore a career with Carollo.ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities (vary dependent upon hiring level):EIT:Serve as an engineer on the planning, design, construction, and/or commissioning of water and wastewater treatment projects of various sizesPerform data entry and analysisPerform system modeling, process calculations, and hydraulic calculations to size and select facilitiesPrepare cost estimatesPerform permitting and alternatives analysisPrepare technical memoranda, reports, plans and specifications, and other deliverablesPerform engineering services during construction, including but not limited to reviewing contractor submittals for conformance with contract plans and specifications and evaluating requests for informationParticipate in field activities, such as site visits, overseeing field work, and pilot testingTravel may be requiredP.E. through Senior Engineer additional responsibilities could include:Serve as the technical lead on the planning, design, construction, and/or commissioning of water and wastewater treatment projects of various sizes (small, medium, and large)May serve as project manager on small to medium sized projects and would assume all project manager responsibilitiesParticipate in field activities, such as site visits and overseeing field workProvide on-the-job training and mentoring of project staff and entry to mid-level engineersMaintain a culture of effective communication among project teams, clients, partners, and other stakeholdersPerform engineering services during construction, including but not limited to reviewing contractor submittals for conformance with contract plans and specifications and evaluating requests for informationDevelop and maintain relationships with existing clientsPartner with local business development teams to identify project opportunities and assist with business development activities, including, but not limited to proposal preparation, scope and fee preparation, and interview participationCoordinate the work of other engineering disciplines, designers, modelers, technicians, and others who assist in specific assignmentsAssist with proposal preparation, including development of project scopes and feesParticipate in field activities, such as site visits, overseeing field work, and pilot testingTravel may be requiredQualificationsQualifications (vary depending on hiring level):Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or related engineering fieldEIT Certification or passed FE exam or Registration as a Professional Engineer for higher level engineersExperience delivering and managing water/wastewater treatment projects with partial responsibility for budget, schedule, contractual obligations, and quality standards for higher level engineersAbility to deliver high quality services within budget and schedule constraintsAbility to apply critical thinking, analysis, and innovative techniques to develop options and recommendations to solve technical problemsStrong verbal and written communication skillsAbility to communicate effectively with clients and project teamsWork well in a team environmentHighly motivated and self-startingProficient in MS Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPointPreferred QualificationsEducation and Experience (vary depending on hiring level):Degree in Civil or Environmental EngineeringEngineer-in-Training: 2-5 years of experience in planning, design, and/or construction of water/wastewater treatment projectsMid level Engineer: 5-12 years of experienceSenior level Engineer: 12+ years of experiencePay Range$80,000 to $190,000 annually. Range varies dependent upon hiring level. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future.
