Behavior Support Manager

DescriptionCommunity Options, Inc.is a national non-profit agency providing services to individuals with disabilities in 12 states.We are now seeking a Behavior Support Manager in Syracuse, NY. The Behavior Support Manager uses best practices and technologies within a community setting to assist individuals with acquiring, retaining, improving and generalizing the behavioral, self-help, socialization, relational, and communication skills needed to enhance relationships, and increase independence and functioning.This role will have oversight of the Syracuse and Binghamton, NY regions.Starting pay is $75,000/ per yearResponsibilitiesManage and oversee duties of behavioral support staffPerform one on one observation and interaction with individualsComplete functional behavioral assessments for identified individualsCreate prevention plans and support plans as neededTrain staff on implementation of plansPrepare progress reports for consumer's immediate support group, including their family and/or guardian, staff, employment specialist, case manager, and other professionalsServe as an active member of each person’s Inter-Disciplinary Team (IDT), which includes involvement in Individual Habilitation Plan developmentEmployee must cooperate with the license and department staff in any inspection, inquiry, or investigationMinimum RequirementsMust be at least 18 years of ageMaster’s degree in behavioral analysis, psychology, or related fieldMinimum one year experience in the development and implementation of behavioral support plansBCBA or BCaBA certification strongly preferredFirst aid, CPR, OSHA, and medication certification course within first 90 days of employment, and any required residential or state trainingValid driver’s license with good driving recordKnowledge of Positive Behavioral SupportsAbility to conduct functional behavioral assessmentsAbility to collect, interpret, and graph dataKnowledge and understanding of local regulatory agency operationsUnderstanding and commitment to community-based support for persons with disabilitiesFlexibility to deal with people at a variety of levels, both internally and externallyEmployment is contingent upon successful completion of checks of criminal background, central registry, child abuse registry, and drug testingWhy Community Options?Competitive Insurance Benefits (Medical, Dental, Vision)Paid Holidays—Including a Birthday HolidayGenerous PTOEmployee Incentive & Discount Programs403b Retirement PlanIncredible career growth opportunitiesPlease Visit Our Website to Complete an Online Application!Careers.comop.orgCommunity Options is an Equal Opportunity EmployerM/F/D/V#IND-SR
