About The PositionFirst Internet Bank provides exciting internship opportunities for individuals pursuing their degree. The purpose of the First Internet Bank Internship Program is to provide a hands-on experience in a business setting and to present interns with real world insight into the human resources/financial industry. As a Human Resources Intern at First Internet Bank, you will have the opportunity to work closely with all members of the Human Resources department completing a variety of tasks. This Internship is a paid position.What You Will DoPlans, budgets, and schedules modifications, repairs and preventive maintenance to facilities and equipment, including but not limited to HVAC, elevators, lighting systems, etcFacilitates rental process for First Internet Bank’s Tenant facilities, including the BackyardAssists Vice President, Facilities/Physical Security Officer in supervising construction projects, and acts as a secondary point of contact for contractors and property/building managementAssists Vice President, Facilities/Physical Security Officer in overseeing building space allocation and layout and facility expansionAssists Vice President, Facilities/Physical Security Officer in duties as Physical Security Officer, by frequently reviewing and making/updating security recommendations, and working with the Director of Security OperationsPerforms other duties as assignedWhat We’re Looking ForCurrent undergraduate student pursuing an associate’s or bachelor’s degreePrior experience in a facilities or related role preferred Strong written and verbal communication skillsExcellent organizational skills, including attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a timely mannerInterpersonal skills to interact positively and effectively with team members at all levels of business and management Solid background with understanding and/or hands-on experience in facilities management, maintenance, and/or constructionAbility to think through problems – including hidden problems – and explore and implement solutions Drive to update job knowledge and discipline by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizationsWorking Conditions/DemandsProfessional office settingMust be able to move throughout the office and buildings to obtain or relay informationMust be able to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodationFrequently moves equipment weighing up to 25 poundsMany essential functions of the position cannot be performed remotely and require on-site work in order to maintain facilities and administrative tasks while also providing physical security and maintenance supportOccasionally requires travel to other properties owned or leased by the Bank or its parent companyOccasionally ascends/descends ladders or other equipmentOccasionally works in outdoor weather conditionsOther common parameters entail climbing stairs, walking, squatting, crawling, or kneelingWho Are We?
