Physicians - Pediatrics
Pediatrician Position This physician provides health services to individuals from birth through adolescents under the age of 18 within the guidelines established by the American Board of Pediatrics and NCHC policies. The incumbents in this job have routine access to individually identifiable health information including the patients' entire medical records on a need-to-know basis only. All employees of NCHC are responsible to practice good risk management, quality assurance, and deliver excellent internal and external customer service. All employees must understand and exemplify the organization's mission, vision, and core values. Essential Duties/Responsibilities: Performs primary and preventative health services to individuals under the age of 18 years old. Prepares and reviews case histories and obtains data through patient interviews. Participates in the provider on-call schedule. Participates in hospital rotation to examine new-born babies of NCHC patients and performs pediatric in-patient rounds as necessary. Performs office-based procedures. Educates patients on procedures performed and the importance of follow-up. Maintains accurate and legible medical records in compliance with NCHC policies. Prescribes medications and therapies for treatment and preventative care. Assist in the development of department policies and procedures. Collects in-patient invoices and submits them to the CMO's office on a timely basis. Works in conjunction with the State of New Jersey, Department of Health and Senior Services, Division of Youth and Family Services to ensure the well-being of all children who present for services. Participates in department and Clinical Services meetings. Participates in health initiatives and collaboratives that may require supervision of other NCHC personnel in the group's efforts. Meets patient utilization standards set by NCHC. Qualifications: Medical Doctor or Doctor of Osteopathy with a valid NJ license to practice medicine, NJ CDS and federal DEA and NPI. Board Eligible/Certified in the area of Pediatric Medicine. Considerable knowledge of state and federal public health laws specifically in regard to Medicine. Bilingual capability in any language predominantly spoken by NCHC patients preferred. As a condition of employment, we require that all staff are fully vaccinated against COVID-19. Therefore, all new employees need to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 as well as boosters when eligible, and are required to provide documentation of receiving COVID-19 vaccines.
