The PEO Sales Consultant will be responsible for identifying client needs, building relationships, and providing tailored HR solutions. Daily activities include generating and pursuing leads, conducting consultations, preparing proposals, and converting prospects into long-term clients. The consultant will also ensure a high level of customer satisfaction by acting as a trusted advisor and maintaining clear communication with clients.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Human Resources, or related field (or equivalent experience)Proven B2B sales experience, preferably in HR services, payroll, benefits, or PEO industryLife and Health Insurance License preferred (or ability to obtain within a specified timeframe)Demonstrated success meeting or exceeding sales quotas and KPIsStrong understanding of employee benefits, HR functions, and compliance basics (e.g., ACA, FLSA, workers’ comp)Excellent consultative selling and relationship-building skillsAbility to assess client needs and present tailored solutionsStrong communication and presentation skills (both verbal and written)Experience with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and sales pipeline managementSelf-motivated with a high level of initiative and accountabilityStrong negotiation and closing skillsAbility to manage multiple prospects and deals simultaneouslyProfessional demeanor with strong networking and interpersonal skillsValid driver’s license and willingness to travel locally for client meetingsProficiency in Microsoft Office or Google Workspace toolsResponsibilitiesProspect and generate new business opportunities (cold calling, networking, referrals)Identify and target small to mid-sized businesses that can benefit from PEO servicesEducate potential clients on PEO offerings (payroll, HR, benefits, compliance, risk management)Conduct needs assessments to understand client pain points and workforce challengesPresent customized PEO solutions and value propositionsDevelop and deliver sales presentations, proposals, and pricing packagesBuild and maintain a strong sales pipeline and manage it through a CRM systemNegotiate contracts and close dealsCollaborate with internal teams (HR, benefits, legal, onboarding) to ensure smooth client transitionsStay up to date on labor laws, HR trends, and compliance requirementsMaintain relationships with existing clients for upselling and referralsAttend networking events, trade shows, and industry functionsMeet or exceed monthly/quarterly sales quotas and KPIsTrack and report sales activity and performance metricsProvide ongoing support during onboarding to ensure client satisfactionBenefitsEmployer-paid health, dental, and vision insuranceEmployer-paid life insurance401(k) with company matchShort-term disability coverageLong-term disability coverageAccess to additional ancillary benefitsGenerous paid time off (PTO)
