Data Entry Operator / Entry Level - Typing
About the Role:
The company is seeking a Remote Data Entry Operator for a long-term opportunity based in the USA. Despite the advertised entry-level typing title, the responsibilities and qualifications describe a data-focused role involving reporting, data analysis, data quality, and data pipeline development. The position will support departmental reporting and data-driven decision-making by developing reports, maintaining data models, and working with technology teams on business requirements and data warehouse solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Create new reports, modify existing reports, and prepare ad-hoc reporting to support business processes and data-driven decisions.
Develop relevant dashboards using Power BI and Excel.
Establish data quality standards and controls to maintain data integrity and accessibility.
Manage and develop data pipelines that transfer information from source systems to the data warehouse.
Work with management and business analysts to understand business requirements, maintain documentation, and obtain business sign-offs for reporting needs.
Develop, maintain, and improve scalable data pipelines and data architecture.
Create clear and impactful data visualizations using Power BI and data storytelling principles.
Help automate existing business processes and improve exception-based reporting.
Collaborate with IT and business analysts to research and identify new data variables through data mining.
Analyze large datasets to identify meaningful patterns and actionable insights.
Review information from multiple sources and reconcile inconsistencies.
Validate data accuracy against established requirements.
Investigate data errors and resolve data quality issues.
Support the Data Governance program by updating the data dictionary, policies, and procedures.
Review and validate metrics and provide feedback to team leaders on trends requiring attention.
Required Qualifications:
At least 2 years of experience conducting detailed data analysis.
Strong experience working with Power BI.Experience developing and managing Power BI reporting elements, including dimensions, measures, filters, calculated fields, transformations, parameters, conditional formatting, DAX queries, and interactions.
Knowledge of DAX, SQL, and M Code.
Proficiency in SQL, including the ability to write complex queries for reporting and analytics.
Experience with ETL tools such as SSIS, Power BI Dataflows, or other big data integration tools.
Strong data modeling knowledge, including star schema and other modeling techniques.
Analytical problem-solving skills and experience working with large datasets.
Experience with SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS), Power BI, and Power Query.
Experience with Smartsheet.
Strong project execution skills, including the ability to complete assignments efficiently and meet deadlines.
