Key responsibilities include instruction and curriculum development,assessment, classroom management and parent communication; collaboration withcolleagues to ensure quality and consistency of overall program; willing participation in theco-curricular and ministerial life of the school; mentorship for student engagement; andfulfillment of all additional supervision duties expected of full-time teachers.QualificationsEducation & Experience Bachelor's degree in the specific content area (ex. Computer Science, InformationTechnology, Cybersecurity) WA State Teaching Certificate or the ability to obtain one Master's degree preferred Familiarity with educational technology Recent classroom experience, preferably in a high school settingKnowledge, Skills, & AbilitiesThe ideal candidate will possess the skills and abilities to: Teach a range of Computer Science classes, including Introduction to ComputerScience, AP Computer Science Principles, AP Computer Science A, and APCybersecurity Demonstrate flexibility and resourcefulness Create and implement authentic assessments (formative and summative)appropriate to the health and physical education courses assigned Use technology as a tool in the classroom Work with a wide variety of high school students in a multicultural setting Develop positive interpersonal relationships Exhibit good organization and management skills Meet individual student needs in the development of department goals andrestructuring of the curriculum Collaborate with colleagues including team teaching and professional learningcommunities with colleagues including team teaching and professional learningcommunitiesCompensation & BenefitsAny offered salary is determined based on internal equity, internal salary ranges,market data, applicant's skills and prior relevant experience, degrees, andcertifications. Salary is dependent upon experience, certification, and educationaccording to Kennedy Catholic's faculty compensation schedule.
