Job DescriptionProduction Cook1st Shift (5am to 1pm)2nd Shift (1pm to 9pm)3rd shift (9pm to 5am)Starting Wage $28.00/hr PLUS $2/hr Shift PremiumThe Cook is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the cook equipment. This position requires the operation of equipment and the cooking of ingredients as well as completing the sanitation requirements of the job. This position is responsible for ensuring that work is performed in a safe manner with a close attention to detail when it comes to product quality. This position must support all business systems (such as QCDSM, ISO, GMP's) while working in a team environment. When the employee is not assigned to Cook job, they will be assigned to the B pool based on their seniority.Primary Role and ResponsibilitiesOperate the cook equipment in a safe and accurate manner!Responsible for following cook formula procedures for products that are produced on the linesPerform set-up, start-up, and changeover procedures for the equipment as neededResponsible for monitoring and communicating any process or product abnormalities to your Supervisor, Team Leader or Line TechnicianPerform the sanitation duties for the equipment in the cook area or other production equipment as well as sanitation period work as assignedResponsible for conducting and documenting quality checks such as cook sheets, temperature charts, and other process documentation defined in the QCMS/DPS ProceduresAccurate handling and usage of chemicals!Perform analysis of cleaner strengths on soaps and sanitizers used in the sanitation processResponsible for the safe operation of the salvage rework system and completion of the accurate documentation as neededMaintain and monitor the powder feed systemNon-Dairy base setter will be a part of job dutiesPerform Good Sanitation Practices (GSP's) when handling equipmentMust follow all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's)Perform all required observations and training timely as scheduledSupport Plant Quality SystemsPerform all other duties as assigned by Supervisor or Team LeaderQualifications and Education RequirementsEducation Level:High School Diploma/GEDAdditional Education/Certification/Skills:English Language Skills - Able to speak, read, and writeRemarksMust perform job duties efficiently and safelyAbility to lift up to 57 pounds per NIOSH Lifting Equation and apply plant approved safe lifting practices for over 57 poundsable to work in a team environmentMust enforce all Kraft Policies as stated in the Employee Handbook and follow internal Kraft ProceduresAble to work extended hoursResponsible to follow FSQ requirements such as GMP's and other daily/job specific duties to support QRMPBenefits: Coverage for employees (and their eligible dependents) through affordable access to healthcare, protection, and saving for the future, we offer plans tailored to meet you and your family's needs.
