Installation Technician – Entry LevelLocation: Lafayette, IN (In-person)Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PMAbout the RoleMove Over Outfitters, a veteran-owned company, is seeking a motivated Installation Technician to join our growing team. In this hands-on role, you’ll install and service technology systems in public safety and commercial vehicles, including two-way communication systems and in-car video equipment.This is an entry-level position with training provided—we’re looking for reliable, detail-oriented individuals who are eager to learn and grow in a technical field.Key ResponsibilitiesInstall and configure vehicle systems including radios, warning lights, and video equipmentPrepare vehicles for installation and perform system upgrades and repairsTest and troubleshoot equipment to ensure proper functionalityUse tools and electrical testing equipment (such as ohmmeters)Maintain accurate documentation of work performedKeep work areas clean, organized, and safeCollaborate with team members to complete installations efficientlyQualificationsMechanical aptitude and willingness to learnAbility to use hand and power toolsStrong attention to detail and problem-solving skillsGood communication and time management skillsAbility to lift up to 50 lbs and work inside vehiclesValid driver’s license and reliable transportationHigh school diploma or GEDMust be able to pass a background checkPreferred (not required):Experience with 12-volt systems, vehicle installs, or similar workEVT certificationBenefitsPaid time off (PTO) in the first yearPaid holidays after 90 daysEmployee discountsOn-the-job trainingClimate-controlled shopTools provided if neededOptional overtimeWeekly tool truck visitsAbout UsMove Over Outfitters is an Indiana-based, veteran-owned company specializing in upfitting public safety and commercial emergency vehicles.
