Work Schedule: Monday-Thursday - 3:00pm – 1:30am, Friday – occasional overtime Major Areas of Responsibility Major areas of responsibility include, but are not limited to: Safety minded in all work activities; suggest and recommend safety initiatives; commitment to safe work habits. Coordinate with supervisory team to cascade down the daily goals, assign, lead, and monitor work to maximize productivity and prevent downtime. Identify process problems, troubleshoot causes and develop solutions. Suggest improvements to improve efficiencies or safety. Ensures team members are following standard operating procedures to ensure consistency, efficiency, product quality, employee safety, as well as compliance with state and federal guidelines. Train and retrain employees on how to properly perform each task. Review layout, inspect for defects, ensure materials meet specifications, mark non-conformant areas, and stack materials on a cart with correct paperwork to deliver to the next production line. Read and understand job orders, pick sheets, and layouts; pull and stage materials accurately. Use tools such as a two-headed saw as required to cut aluminum at the designated length as listed on the customer order. Understanding daily production goals and work at a pace that meets or exceeds those requirements. Other duties as assigned by the Production Supervisor and/or Production Manager. Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities This position requires the following essential knowledge, skills and abilities in order to satisfactorily fulfil the position. Ability to lead the team with effective communication skills. Ability to perform as an individual contributor with high productivity and lead the team at the same time. Should have a positive and professional attitude. Detailed oriented using fine visual and manual skills. The ability to use basic hand tools such as drills, screwdrivers, tape measure, and saw machines. The ability work in a fast-paced environment for an extended period of time. The ability to read and understand layouts, shop orders and process control documents. Preferred Qualifications Qualifications that are preferred for this position are as follows 2-3 years of machining experience. 2-3 years of forklift operation experience.
