Account Manager II-Specialty

Position OverviewFocuses on personal sales targets by developing new business opportunities, troubleshooting customer problems and enhancing existing customer relationships. Contacts large sized 3PL, VAWD and Freight Forwarder customers, prospects and collaborates with other sales professionals as a transportation intermediary expert within a defined geographic territory to sell LTL services.Essential Job Duties/ResponsibilitiesAchieves major account sales goals.Plans and executions for major customer sales strategies.Performs other duties as assigned.QualificationsMinimum EducationBachelor's degree/equivalent.Minimum Experience10+ years of experience in transportation, 3PL, or 4PL; LTL experience preferredMinimum Knowledge, Skills And AbilitiesStrong business acumen with the ability to read and interpret P&L statementsProven ability to build and maintain relationships at the executive levelAbility to co-develop a FedEx Freight growth strategy in partnership with third-party logistics providers Deep understanding of the TI/intermediary channel, including broker, forwarder, and 3PL business modelsExperience managing large, complex accounts with multiple stakeholders and high revenue responsibilityFamiliarity with LTL pricing structures, including tariffs, spot quotes, and contract negotiationsAbility to analyze account-level profitability and identify share-of-wallet opportunities Strong cross-functional collaboration skills — comfortable working with pricing, operations, legal, and collectionsExperience with RFP processes and the ability to position FedEx Freight competitively against other LTL carriersProficiency with CRM tools and data-driven sales reporting Self-directed with the ability to manage a large territory and prioritize a high-volume account portfolioJob ConditionsAbility to travel overnight as required.Preferred QualificationsPay Transparency: PayAdditional Details: While this is a remote position, the successful candidate must reside within 50 miles of a FedEx Freight location(s) in Saint Charles, MO, E Kansas City, MO or Edwardsville, KS.FedEx Freight is an Equal Opportunity Employer, including disabled and veterans.Know Your RightsPay TransparencyIf you have a disability and you need assistance in order to apply for a position with FedEx Freight, please call 800-888-8252 or e-mail at ADAAssistance@freight.fedex.com.FedEx Freight will not discharge or in any other manner discriminate against any employee or applicant for employment because such employee or applicant has inquired about, discussed, or disclosed the compensation of the employee or applicant or another employee or applicant.
