ABOUT FRANKLIN COUNTY COMMUNITY BASED CORRECTIONAL FACILITY Franklin County CBCF is a prison diversion program intended to reduce recidivism and increase public safety. Our mission is to provide a safe and secure environment designed to change offender behavior through individualized programming and cognitive restructuring. The Franklin County CBCF is a 180-bed facility that houses adult male offenders (referred to as “residents”) for a maximum of 180 days. The CBCF believes community safety is of upmost importance. Second is targeting residents’ criminogenic needs via intense cognitive behavioral programming in an effort to reduce their likelihood of recidivating. ANNUAL LPN SALARY: $52,000-$56,160 ANNUAL RN SALARY: $58,240-$62,400 AN EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS This position is under the direct supervision of the Intake Supervisor. Directly responsible for observing and monitoring the resident’s medical plan of care, including conducting preliminary health evaluations, conducting health assessments, implementing physicians’ orders, conducting regular sick call, assisting the physician with doctor call, scheduling community medical appointments for residents, documenting and maintaining all information pertaining to the resident’s medical plan of care. Maintains a perpetual inventory of medical equipment, supplies, and medications. Prepares and manages the medical budget, including ordering necessary supplies. Identifies agency needs regarding health care and provides health education to staff and residents, including CPR/First Aid instruction. Handles crisis situations. PHYSICAL DEMANDS Work involves a significant amount of standing, walking, sitting, talking, listening, and reaching with hands and arms. Must be able to transfer up to fifty (30) pounds. Visual ability must be sufficient to operate equipment, if necessary. QUALIFICATIONS Must be able to type 20 words per minute and have proficient computer skills. State of Ohio licensed with current CPR certification. Must be able to obtain CPR/First Aid instructor certification. Must have good interpersonal skills and good oral/written communication skills. Two to four (2-4) years of medical experience required, preferably in a correctional setting. Must be able to function on a team. Must possess a valid Ohio driver’s license and have a good driving record.
