Bank Teller - Full TimeFirst State Bank of The SouthLocation: 5520 McFarland Blvd, Northport, AL, 35476Position Summary: Bank tellers are responsible for providing exceptional customer service, including efficient and accurate transaction processing.Benefits: Full health benefits, vacation days, sick leaveKey Duties & Responsibilities:Process retail and/or commercial deposits, loan payments, process checking and savings account withdrawals promptly and accuratelyCash ChecksMaintain an adequate cash drawer at all times; this includes buying and selling currency from the vault as necessaryBalance cash drawer in accordance with Bank procedures and regulationsProcess credit card cash advancesAnswer customer inquiries and refer customers to the proper service area for issues that cannot be resolved at the teller lineIssue Cashier's ChecksAssist customers in accessing safety deposit boxesTake safety deposit box paymentsMay be responsible for opening and/or closing the bankMaintain the highest level of confidentiality with all information obtainedPromote the bank's products and servicesRepresent the Bank in a manner that maintains and expands positive relations with all customers, potential customers, and co-workersPerform as a team member in allocating and coordinating the work flowComply with all department and company policies, procedures, and regulationsOther duties as assignedBe able to multitaskAnswer phonesKnowledge, Skills, & Abilities:Excellent customer service skills, attentiveness, information retention, tact and diplomacy in dealing with both customers and employeesMathematical skillsStrong communication & organizational skillsDetail oriented, high degree of accuracyCompetence with computers, telephone, 10-key calculator, and other office machineryPunctual and reliable attendance
