Phlebotomist/Floater
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Phlebotomist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing blood sampling and specimen collection, ensuring the highest standards of patient care and laboratory procedures. This role requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, physiology, and vital signs, as well as excellent patient service skills. The Phlebotomist will work in a hospital or laboratory setting, contributing to the overall health and well-being of patients.
Duties
Perform blood sampling and specimen collection with precision and care.
Process specimens according to established laboratory procedures.
Maintain accurate records of patient information and specimen details.
Monitor and record vital signs as necessary.
Provide exceptional patient service by ensuring comfort and addressing any concerns during the procedure.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure efficient workflow within the laboratory or hospital setting.
Adhere to safety protocols and infection control measures at all times.
Stay updated on medical terminology and laboratory procedures to enhance efficiency.
Requirements
Proven experience in blood sampling and specimen collection processing.
Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
Excellent patient service skills with a focus on compassionate care.
Familiarity with laboratory procedures in a hospital or clinical setting.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Strong communication skills to interact with patients and healthcare team members effectively.
Phlebotomy certification preferred. Required in California, Nevada, and Washington.

Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
