Wherever you want to practice your passion - big cities, suburban areas, college towns, quaint rural areas - we're here for you.Responsibilities:By joining Piedmont's internal agency - First Call Staffing Solutions - you become part of a dynamic team that supports clinical staffing needs across all 21 Piedmont hospitals throughout Georgia.Please note: By applying to this specific posting, you are expressing interest in joining our internal agency team. As a First Call clinician, you may be offered contracts at any Piedmont location based on organizational need, your specialty, and shift availability.This position provides nursing care to patients from birth through the lifecycle utilizing nursing processes to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the care for patients. He/she functions within the framework of the policies and procedures of the organization and demonstrates professional growth and accountability. This role is responsible for maintaining standards of practice, coordinating patient care activities of all assigned staff in the provision of quality nursing care. Part of a Piedmont internal agency pool that is used to fill critical and/or urgent staffing needs through designated assignments at Piedmont hospitals ("Assignment").KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Must work a minimum of one Assignment every six months.Performs patient assessments to include collection of dataregardingthe patient's physical, psychosocial and health history.Appropriately evaluates the developmental age of the patient when performing assessments, treatments and patient/family education.Organizes patient data into the formulation of a plan of care;identifiesadditional information needed and makes care decisions based on identified needs. Identifies expected patient outcomes.Carries out plan of care to achieve desired patient outcomes.Provides patient care that is specific to the setting,identifiedneeds and plan; ensures that the care provided is appropriate to the severity of the disease, condition, impairment or disability.Overseesactivities of ancillary and support team members.Identifiesteaching opportunities and provides the resources necessary for achieving the educational goals of the patients.Communicates issues/concerns to the Charge Nurse, Clinical Manager and/or physician asappropriate.Documentspatient care and concerns in the patient record.Expected toreliably and professionally work all assigned shifts.Expected todemonstratesound clinical judgment and work independently from the commencement of each Assignment without additional training beyond two precepted clinical orientation shifts.Expected to be willing/able to work in any clinical assignmentdeemedappropriate by Piedmont.Qualifications:MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED: Graduate of a nursing program.MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Two (2) years of work experience in performing professional nursing duties within area(s) of specialty.MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW: Current License in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or NLC/eNLC Multistate License. BLS certification required.ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS: Certifications based upon service line.
