Senior FP&A Analyst

Location: Remote (Preference for Orlando / Lake Mary, FL proximity)Type: Contract (Potential for Full-Time Conversion)OverviewOur client is seeking a highly analytical, self-directed Senior FP&A Analyst to support a critical phase of reporting transformation and financial infrastructure buildout.This role will begin with a focus on developing, validating, and pressure-testing new reporting outputs, and will evolve into broader run-the-business FP&A responsibilities, including budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis across a growing portfolio.This is an ideal opportunity for someone who thrives in unstructured environments, enjoys building from scratch, and can operate independently from problem definition through execution.Key ResponsibilitiesReporting & Analytics Buildout (Initial Focus)Develop and refine financial reporting outputs leveraging BI tools and internal data environmentsValidate and pressure-test reporting accuracy, logic, and usabilityTranslate business needs into scalable, decision-useful reporting frameworksPartner with internal stakeholders to iterate and improve outputsFP&A & Business Support (Ongoing / Evolving Scope)Support budgeting and forecasting processes across the organizationPerform variance analysis and deliver actionable insights to leadershipAssist in building and maintaining consolidated financial viewsContribute to financial modeling and ad hoc strategic analysisStrategic & Ad HocSupport M&A-related analysis and integration efforts as neededIdentify opportunities to improve reporting efficiency and data integrityOperate as a self-sufficient problem solver in a lean, high-impact environmentQualifications4–8+ years of experience in FP&A, Investment Banking, or related analytical rolesStrong financial modeling, analytical, and problem-solving capabilitiesExperience with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysisDemonstrated ability to own deliverables end-to-end with minimal oversightComfort working in ambiguous, evolving environmentsPreferred Background:Investment Banking to FP&A progression strongly preferredExposure to M&A analysis or transaction environmentsExperience working with portfolio companies or multi-entity structuresTechnical SkillsAdvanced Excel / financial modeling skillsExperience with Power BI strongly preferredAbility to work within BI environments and independently adjust/build reporting outputsFamiliarity with data visualization and reporting best practicesWhat Success Looks LikeQuickly builds trust by delivering accurate, actionable reportingOperates independently without requiring heavy direction or oversightTranslates loosely defined problems into structured, high-quality outputsEvolves from builder (reporting) to operator (core FP&A support)
