Family Law Attorney

Trueline's client, a boutique family law firm with a strong reputation in Southern California, is seeking an Attorney to join their team in Calabasas, CA (with flexibility across nearby offices). This is a hands-on litigation role for an experienced family law attorney who wants meaningful client work, professional growth, and a collaborative environment without micromanagement.What You'll Do as the Attorney:Manage family law matters from intake through resolution, including hearings, mediations, and settlement negotiationsHandle discovery end to end, including drafting and responding, reviewing production, and preparing motions when neededPrepare clear, accurate, and timely pleadings and legal documentsDevelop practical case strategies focused on strong outcomes and cost efficiency for clientsAdvise and support clients through emotionally complex situations with empathy and confidenceAppear in court for hearings and conferences; trial exposure without pressure to be first chairTrack billable time and manage a steady caseload independentlyCollaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and support staff in a team-oriented environmentMentor junior team members and assist with training as neededStay current on California family law developments and best practicesMust-Haves as the Attorney:Juris Doctor from an ABA-accredited law schoolActive California Bar membership in good standing3 to 5 years of family law experienceComfort handling evidentiary hearings and contested mattersStrong written, verbal, and courtroom communication skillsAbility to work autonomously while contributing to a collaborative teamHigh emotional intelligence and professionalism when working with high-conflict mattersStrong organization, follow-through, and attention to detailValid California Class C driver's license and reliable transportationNice-to-Haves as the Attorney:Experience working with high net worth clientsFamiliarity with Clio, LawYaw, or similar case management toolsInterest in long-term growth, leadership, or partner-track opportunitiesBusiness development mindset and ability to originate clientsOur Client Offers:Competitive base salary range of $150,000 to $190,000Monthly billable expectation of 100 to 120 hours with bonus potential for exceeding targetsOrigination bonus for self-sourced clientsHealth, dental and vision benefits401(k) planGenerous paid time offFirm-paid continuing education and professional developmentClear growth paths, including support toward family law specializationHybrid schedule available after a 60-day period.=A stable, close-knit firm culture with hands-on training and long-term investment in attorneys
