After-School Coding Instructor – Perris SVS Inc. is accepting applications for anticipated part-time coding instructor positions supporting school-based enrichment programs in Perris, California. These positions are being recruited in preparation for a potential school-district partnership. Employment and scheduled hours are contingent upon contract award, final school assignments, enrollment, and program scheduling. Pay $20 to $25 per hour, based on experience Location Perris, California In-person at assigned elementary or middle school sites Schedule * Part-time * Weekday afternoons * Typically between school dismissal and 6:00 PM * Short-term four-session programs with the possibility of additional assignments * Exact days and hours will depend on school schedules and program assignments Position Summary Coding instructors will lead engaging, project-based technology classes for students in Grade 2 and above. Classes may include game development, Roblox Studio, Minecraft-based learning, introductory artificial intelligence, 3D design, digital media, and robotics. Instructors must be comfortable presenting lessons, supporting students with different experience levels, troubleshooting basic technology issues, and maintaining a structured and positive classroom environment. Responsibilities * Deliver assigned coding and technology curriculum. * Explain technical concepts in an age-appropriate manner. * Help students build, test, debug, and improve their projects. * Monitor student participation, behavior, and safety. * Set up and organize laptops, robotics equipment, and instructional materials. * Maintain attendance and basic program documentation. * Communicate promptly with the program manager regarding attendance, technology, behavior, or safety concerns. * Work collaboratively with other instructors and school personnel. * Complete required training and prepare for assigned lessons. * Follow all Code Ninjas and school-district policies and procedures. Qualifications * Experience or coursework in computer science, engineering, education, game development, digital media, robotics, or a related field. * Experience working with children or youth is strongly preferred. * Comfortable learning and teaching technology platforms. * Strong communication, reliability, and classroom-management skills. * Ability to work independently while following an established curriculum. * Ability to arrive on time at assigned Perris-area school sites. * Must be at least 18 years old. * Must be authorized to work in the United States. Technology Experience Experience with one or more of the following is helpful but not required: * Scratch or MakeCode * Roblox Studio * Minecraft Education * Python or JavaScript * LEGO or similar educational robotics * Tinkercad or introductory 3D design * Browser-based artificial intelligence and digital-media tools Employment Requirements Selected candidates must complete all applicable school-program requirements before beginning work with students. Requirements may include: * California DOJ and FBI fingerprint clearance * Tuberculosis clearance * Mandated-reporter training * CPR and First Aid certification * District orientation and safety training Applicants should live in Perris or within a reasonable commuting distance.
