The AR Specialist plays an important role in supporting the financial outcomes of our clients by working insurance accounts receivable for Ambulatory Surgical Centers and Clinics, including follow‑up, denial resolution, and appeal submissions. ESSENTIAL DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES:Work assigned insurance accounts receivable with accuracy, efficiency, and a strong sense of ownershipProactively follow up on outstanding claims and insurance denials to ensure timely resolutionResearch, prepare, submit, and track insurance appeals, including ongoing appeal follow‑upCommunicate effectively with insurance representatives to resolve claim issues and obtain paymentApply strong organizational and time‑management skills to prioritize daily workloads and meet deadlinesInterpret managed care contracts, including fee schedules and allowable amounts, to support collection effortsWork confidently with non‑participating providers and payer guidelinesMaintain a clear understanding of the insurance collection process and apply best practices consistentlyIdentify issues and resolve problems independently, using sound judgment and attention to detailNothing in this job description restricts management’s right to assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any timeEDUCATION DESIRED:High school graduate or GED certificationSPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS REQUIRED:Solid knowledge of medical billing processes, insurance guidelines, and the insurance appeals lifecyclePrior experience in healthcare insurance collections, preferably in an ambulatory or clinical settingProficiency with computers and Windows‑based software systemsStrong written and verbal communication skills with excellent command of the English languageAbility to work cooperatively and professionally with teammates, patients, and external partnersCustomer‑focused mindset with the ability to represent the company positively to patients, insurance carriers, and the general publicMust have a minimum of 50Mbps internet download speed to effectively run SIS SystemsBENEFITS:Benefit package including Medical, Vision, Dental, Short Term Disability, Long Term Disability, and Life InsuranceVacation/Sick time401(k) retirement plan with company matchPaid HolidaysSIS Cares DayHybrid or Remote environment depending on the roleWe believe employees are our greatest asset and we empower them to make a difference in our business.
