Senior Electrical Controls Engineer PLC and Industrial AutomationA leading industrial equipment and automation manufacturer is seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Controls Engineer to support the design, programming, and development of complex industrial control systems. This role is ideal for a hands-on engineer who enjoys owning technical deliverables, collaborating with project teams, and supporting machinery from concept through installation.Essential FunctionsDevelop machine control concepts, estimates, and technical proposal content.Support Sales with technical expertise during capability discussions.Create project schedules and milestones; monitor scope changes and report to Project Manager.Oversee detailed electrical design activities and ensure alignment with project objectives.Produce complete electrical drawing packages following department standards.Perform electrical design calculations and specify industrial control hardware.Utilize AutoCAD for electrical drafting and documentation.Integrate electrical components and apply motion control hardware in system design.Write PLC, motion control, HMI, and operator interface software.Provide checking, review, and technical support to electrical designers.Support electrical fabrication coordination and system development at company and client sites.Assist with installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting.Maintain current knowledge of industry technology, design practices, and manufacturing methods.Travel as needed and work additional hours based on project requirements.RequirementsBachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or related technical field.Minimum 5 years of experience in industrial controls or automation.Familiarity with NEC, JIC, and accepted electrical codes and practices.Exposure to electrical fabrication standards.Proficiency with AutoCAD for electrical design.Broad background in industrial control hardware.Demonstrated ability to program PLCs, motion control systems, HMIs, and data acquisition equipment.Strong analytical skills and ability to lead technical efforts.Effective oral and written communication skills.Proficiency with Windows-based software tools.Benefits401k with company matchPaid holidaysEmployer paid life insuranceEmployer paid short term and long term disabilityDental, vision, and health insuranceFlexible spending accountEmployee assistance programPaid time offTuition reimbursementReferral programVoluntary life insurance Email Your Resume In Word ToKeith.Ellis@CyberCoders.comLooking forward to receiving your resume through our website and going over the position with you.
