Primary Instructional Coach/Interventionist - Royal Prairie Elementary

Primary Purpose:The PK-2 Instructional Coach/ Interventionist will support high-quality early literacy, numeracy, and classroom instruction through coaching, modeling, intervention support, data analysis, and professional learning. This position is designed to strengthen teacher capacity, improve student achievement, and provide targeted instructional support for students in Prekindergarten through 2nd grade. The Coach/Interventionist will work collaboratively with teachers, campus administrators, and district instructional leaders to support curriculum implementation, evidence-based instructional practices, progress monitoring, and intervention systems aligned to district goals and student needs.Qualifications:Education/Certification:Bachelor's degree requiredValid Texas teaching certificate requiredEarly Childhood, Elementary, Bilingual, ESL, Reading, or related certification preferredMaster's degree preferredSpecial Knowledge/Skills:Knowledge of early childhood and primary grade instructionStrong understanding of early literacy, phonics, phonemic awareness, reading comprehension, writing,and foundational math skillsKnowledge of intervention practices and progress monitoringAbility to analyze student data and use data to guide instructional decisionsAbility to model effective instructional strategies for teachersStrong coaching, communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skillsAbility to plan and deliver professional developmentKnowledge of curriculum alignment, lesson internalization, and high-quality instructional materialsAbility to support differentiated instruction for diverse learners, including Emergent Bilingual studentsand students receiving intervention servicesStrong organizational and documentation skillsExperience:Minimum of three years of successful classroom teaching experience requiredExperience in PK-2 instruction preferredExperience with instructional coaching, intervention, dyslexia support, reading instruction, or data-driven instruction preferredMajor Responsibilities and DutiesInstructional Coaching and Teacher SupportProvide instructional coaching and support to PK-2 teachers through observation, feedback, modeling, co-teaching, lesson planning, and reflective coaching conversations.Support teachers in implementing district curriculum, instructional frameworks, pacing guides, and high-quality instructional materials with fidelity.Model effective instructional strategies in classrooms, including small-group instruction, guided practice, checks for understanding, and student engagement strategies.Assist teachers with lesson internalization, planning, instructional delivery, and the use of data to adjust instruction.Support teachers in creating classroom environments that promote student engagement, independence, language development, and academic growth.Collaborate with campus and district leaders to identify instructional needs and provide targeted support to improve teaching and learning.Intervention and Student SupportProvide direct intervention support to PK-2 students in reading, writing, math, and other foundational academic areas as assigned.Use student data to identify skill gaps and provide targeted, research-based interventions.Monitor student progress regularly and adjust interventions based on student performance and growth.Collaborate with classroom teachers to ensure intervention instruction aligns with classroom instruction and student learning goals.Support the campus Multi-Tiered System of Supports process, including documentation, progress monitoring, intervention planning, and data review.Assist with identifying students in need of additional academic support and help determine appropriate intervention strategies.Data Analysis and Progress MonitoringAnalyze campus, grade-level, classroom, and individual student data to identify trends, strengths, and areas for improvement.Facilitate or support data meetings with teachers and campus leadership to review student progress and plan next steps.Support teachers in using assessment data to form small groups, plan targeted instruction, and monitor student mastery.Maintain accurate documentation of intervention services, coaching support, student progress, and instructional action steps.Assist with campus academic goal-setting and progress monitoring related to PK-2 student achievement.Professional Learning and CollaborationPlan and facilitate professional development, coaching cycles, PLC support, and instructional planning sessions for PK-2 staff.Support collaborative planning by helping teachers unpack standards, align instruction, review student work, and plan intervention or enrichment.Stay current on research-based instructional practices, early literacy development, numeracy development, and intervention strategies.Collaborate with campus administrators, instructional specialists, special education staff, bilingual/ESL staff, dyslexia staff, and other support personnel to meet student needs.Participate in district and campus meetings, trainings, and professional learning opportunities as assigned.Compliance and Professional required documentation in a timely manner.Communicate effectively and professionally with staff, administrators, students, and families as appropriate.Demonstrate regular and reliable
