Our fast-paced, entrepreneurial culture rewards self-starters who want to contribute to an organization that’s leading the way in innovation, quality, and professionalism in the industry.About The RoleWe’re looking for a Lead Cabling Technician who can take ownership in the field, lead crews, and deliver high-quality installations across multiple project sites.This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys travel, and takes pride in leading work that matters.What You'll DoLead, coach, and develop a team of cabling technicians in the fieldPlan and execute structured cabling installations (fiber, copper, and coax)Perform terminations, splicing, testing, and troubleshootingConduct site walks and assess project requirementsCoordinate with project managers, engineers, and field leadershipEnsure all work meets safety standards, codes, and quality expectationsMaintain accurate documentation (as-builts, test results, progress updates)Manage tools, materials, and inventory on-siteTravel ExpectationsThis is a travel-intensive role supporting projects across multiple locations.We try to get everyone home for the weekend but sometimes projects may require extended stays (weeks)Per diem and travel support provided in accordance with company policyIf you prefer staying local every day, this likely isn’t the right fit.If you enjoy working on large-scale projects and seeing different job sites, you’ll thrive here.Qualifications6+ years of experience in structured cabling or similar fieldExperience leading crews or acting as a senior/lead technicianStrong knowledge of:Fiber optics (splicing, OTDR testing)Copper cabling systemsIndustry standards (ANSI/TIA, ISO, etc.)Hands-on experience with tools like fusion splicers, testers, and termination kitsAbility to troubleshoot complex issues independentlyStrong communication and leadership skillsPreferredBICSI Technician certification (or similar) highly desiredExperience in industrial or large commercial environmentsPhysical RequirementsWork on ladders and uneven surfacesLift up to 35 lbs regularlyStand, bend, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the dayWinning Behaviors and CompetenciesReal-time Communication is key to success: We will communicate real-time to our team members and clients.
