Financial Controller

Description The Controller will plan and direct the accounting operations of the profit center. The role requires strong leadership and people manager skills, a deep understanding of financial processes, and the ability to drive operational efficiency as well as strategic thinking, effective communication, and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally. A high degree of integrity, independence, reliability, and personal accountability is needed in this hands-on role. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Financial Management Review and approve timesheets and expense reports on a weekly basis to meet posting timelines, informing Finance and Accounting when expense reports are ready. Process incoming vendor and client invoices, as well as cash receipts, in Deltek Vision on a daily basis. Process outgoing client invoices in Deltek Vision in a timely manner. Transfer funds to the Wilson JPMorgan Chase account daily. Maintain GL support schedules and verify all routine journal entries (JEs). Reconcile general ledger accounts for the RO Profit Center in preparation for month-end close to meet deadlines. Assist with the preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Provide monthly reporting on bookings, backlog, revenue, profit, etc. Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis. Research and resolve accounting issues and discrepancies. Support in managing and monitoring all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems to ensure compliance with US GAAP standards. Compliance and Auditing Assist with external and internal audits, providing necessary supporting documentation. Establish and ensure compliance with financial policies, procedures, controls, and reporting systems. Project and Operations Support Set up and review projects for accuracy in Vision for Revenue Generation in partnership with the Director of Finance and Accounting. Provide day-to-day support for Deltek Vision, including the ability to create custom reports. Office Operations Oversee the office’s supply inventory, including ordering, stocking, and managing supplies and equipment. Ensure office policies and procedures are followed. Assist in maintaining a safe and secure office environment by monitoring compliance with health and safety regulations. Responsible for the administration and maintenance of the fleet, fuel, acquisitions, contracts, record keeping, and fleet services operations in partnership with the Operations department. Support and assist with the real estate strategy and needs of the profit center. General Responsibilities Responsible for monthly closing and meeting deadlines, and coordination and coordination with staff to ensure a timely close. Assist with special projects and administrative tasks as assigned by management. Perform other related duties as necessary or assigned.
