Car Driver
Full Time School Year Only
Job Goal(s): To transport students safely and efficiently to and from school or events. To provide a safe and clean learning environment enabling the students to take full advantage of the District's total educational program. To respect the District and its personnel and represent it with the utmost professionalism.
Qualifications
Hold a valid Maine license to drive a school
Must have passed a physical exam directed by state requirements and comply with stipulations recommended by the school's examining
Participate in the Driving Dynamics course as recommended by the State and required by the
High School graduate or GED
Ability to read and comprehend technical
Ability to work safely with chemicals and
Ability to work cooperatively with others
Be a team player.
Self directed
Job requires physical ability to lift 40, stand, climb stairs and ladders, lift, push, pull, and bend for extended periods.
CPR Certified.
Certifications
Maine DOE Certification - CHRC
Motor Vehicle Operator's License
Performance Responsibilities
Perform a pre-trip walk-around inspection of the vehicle before operation and report defects to the lead mechanic
Keep oil, coolant, and fuel at a proper operating
Maintain vehicle in a clean and orderly
Supervise and discipline all passengers during their

Travel between district buildings & out of district. Based on student needs.
