Church and School Custodian

Job Description St. Michael the Archangel Parish Job Description for Custodian Reports to: Purpose: Work Schedule: To Facility Manager The purpose of this position is to provide comprehensive care of the Parish/School facilities, ensuring cleanliness, maintenance, safety and security of buildings and grounds. Monday through Friday- 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Additional hours on occasion, as needed. Works with a team of individuals to meet objectives of the facility department. Primary Responsibilities: •         Tear down any activities from the day in meeting rooms •         Set up for any evening activities •         Check all restrooms routinely throughout each day. Replenish supplies and clean as needed •         Custodial duties to clean church and school areas as assigned •         Ensure lights are out and buildings are locked and secure •         Check requisitions/fulfill repair requests •          Primary responsibility for Summer, Fall and Spring yard work •         Winter snow and ice removal •         Work with others to complete summer cleaning, repairs and maintenance. This is a full time non-exempt hourly position.  Eligible for benefits.  Starting wage is $17.00 per hour. Note: This individual must meet the requirements of the Child Protection Policy set forth by the Diocese of Youngstown, including BCI/FBI background check.
