KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Development of requirements and specifications for electrical and mechanical systems
Work directly with Operations to improve processes, update work instructions, assembly drawings and travelers/routers
Define and maintain product bill of materials (BOM)
Create 2D cable drawings and interconnects
Create manufacturing work instructions
Proactively engage in continuous improvement activities for design, manufacturing, and production
Identify and lead manufacturing process and design improvements
Perform design, development, and validation of mechanical parts and systems
Hands-on evaluation of mechanical parts, using a caliper, basic hand tools, etc.
Maintain detailed change records via engineering change orders (ECOs)
Exemplify technical excellence and be accountable for your own work
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (preferably Electrical / Mechanical)
2+ years of experience as a manufacturing or design engineer
Adept with MS Word, Excel (filters, formulas, short cuts etc.), and PowerPoint
Must be detail oriented
Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
Strong written and verbal communication with an emphasis on interpersonal and organizational skills
Individuals who are self-motivated and able to work with little supervision
Willingness to consistently take the initiative to get things done
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Circuit design (USB, PCIe, and Power)
Knowledge and experience with electrical and electronic systems
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year

Do you have experience with creating shop travelers, work instructions and bill-of-materials (BOMs)?
Knowledge of Excel - are you able to filter, know short cuts, create formulas and graphs? How proficient are you?
Do you have experience reading schematics, manufacturing and/or designing electrical systems (i.e. wiring, cables, connections, PCBs, computers etc)? (Knowledge a plus)
