Settlement Attorney – Employment Law / Plaintiff-Side Litigation

This opportunity is ideal for an attorney with a background in litigation, employment law, or personal injury who is interested in transitioning into a more settlement-focused and administrative role.The firm represents employees throughout California in complex employment matters, including wage & hour, PAGA, discrimination, retaliation, harassment, and class action litigation. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing settlement-related responsibilities from negotiation through administration and final resolution.This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney seeking a long-term role with strong work-life balance potential while remaining closely involved in meaningful plaintiff-side litigation matters.General Responsibilities Manage settlement-related matters from negotiation through resolution and administration Communicate regularly with clients, opposing counsel, settlement administrators, and internal staff regarding settlement status and requirements Coordinate and oversee settlement timelines, deadlines, and required documentation Review and assist with settlement agreements, releases, and supporting settlement documentation Monitor court filings, proposed orders, and settlement approval processes Coordinate with accounting and operations staff regarding settlement distributions and related financial tracking Provide strategic input regarding settlement structure, negotiations, and resolution strategy Assist with ensuring timely client communications, execution of agreements, and settlement disbursementsPreparation Responsibilities Draft and revise settlement agreements for employment litigation matters, including wage & hour and PAGA claims Prepare settlement-related filings, declarations, proposed orders, and supporting documentation Draft motions for preliminary and final approval in class and representative actions, when applicable Prepare dismissal documents, amended orders, and settlement administration materials Coordinate with settlement administrators regarding class notices, timelines, and administration requirements Assist with settlement calculations, distributions, and resolution documentationQualifications Active California Bar license in good standing Minimum of 2 years of litigation experience in employment law, personal injury, or civil litigation Experience with settlements, mediation, or litigation resolution strongly preferred Prior plaintiff-side employment litigation experience is a plus, but not required Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Comfortable working collaboratively with attorneys, staff, and clientsPreferred Skills Experience handling California employment-related settlements, including wage & hour and PAGA matters Bilingual skills are a plus, but not required Proficiency with Filevine, GSuite, Microsoft Office, Adobe, Excel, or similar legal software platformsWhy Join: Join a highly regarded plaintiff-side employment firm with a collaborative team environment and a strong reputation throughout California.
