Registered Nurse - CVICU

Job DescriptionJob Summary:Seeking a skilled CVICU Registered Nurse to provide specialized care for post-operative cardiac patients. The role involves managing complex cardiac cases and monitoring critically ill patients in a fast-paced environment.Responsibilities:Deliver comprehensive post-op open heart recovery care, including managing Swan-Ganz lines, Flotrac monitors, temp pacers, arterial lines, and chest tubes.Float to ICUs, PACU, ED, and IMC units as required, ensuring coverage across various specialized areas.Administer and monitor devices such as Impella, IABP, and CRRT using Prismax, or manage patients with fresh heart surgeries like CABG, MVR, AVR, TAVR.Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans tailored to acuity and condition.Document patient progress, interventions, and responses accurately within electronic medical records.Ensure compliance with certification requirements, including BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS.Qualifications:Minimum of 2 years of current CVICU experience or SICU experience with initial CVICU training.Valid NJ or Compact State Nursing License at the time of submission.Experience with post-operative open heart procedures, including CABG, MVR, AVR, and TAVR.Proficiency with invasive monitoring devices and post-op cardiac care.Ability to float within skillset across multiple ICU environments.Must hold current Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and NIHSS certifications.Benefits & Growth:Opportunities to work in a dynamic, high-acuity cardiac unit with diverse patient populations.Expand expertise in advanced cardiac devices and post-operative critical care techniques.Work in a supportive environment with ongoing credentialing and training opportunities.BenefitsDay 1 Medical, Dental, and Vision insuranceTravel reimbursement for assignmentsPaid sick leave and additional valuable benefitsAccess to our $1,000 Inspire a Friend Referral ProgramWhy TactStaff?Choosing TactStaff means partnering with a team that understands the unique demands and rewards of CVICU.
