About LatinitasLatinitas is an Austin-based nonprofit dedicated to empowering girls and their communities through culturally relevant education. We achieve this mission through bilingual programs including after-school clubs, summer camps, youth conferences, and certification programs in coding.Internship OverviewJoin Latinitas as a Program Department Intern and gain hands-on experience in the planning and delivery of youth programming. You’ll support our team as we lead our STEM-focused programming working alongside Program Manager, Coordinators, and Leaders. This is a fantastic opportunity for those interested in youth development, education, or nonprofit program management.As a Program Intern, you’ll contribute to the smooth execution of Latinitas programs through a mix of administrative and hands-on tasks, while engaging directly with our youth participants in a dynamic and creative environment.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist with the coordination and delivery of Club Latinitas, Padres Digitales and ConferencesAssist in the delivery of STEAM-based lessons and activities for youth ages 9–14Help track organize curriculum materials and prepare suppliesCollect pre- and post-program surveys from youth participants for data evaluationAssist in Latinitas events and programs throughout the semester Ideal CandidatePassionate about youth development, education, or nonprofit program deliveryBilingual in Spanish and English (preferred)Strong communicator, team-oriented, and organizedComfortable using digital tools such as Google Drive, Gmail, SlackEnergetic, creative, and enthusiastic about mentoring youthReliable Transportation Perks & Benefits$1,000 stipend upon successful completionEligible for college creditMeaningful, mission-driven experienceProfessional mentorship and skills development in nonprofit program coordinationOpportunities to connect with Austin's education, tech, and creative communities
