The ideal candidate will play a key role in defining, managing, and integrating system requirements across multi-disciplinary domains while supporting validation, safety, and issue resolution activities.This role requires a balance of technical depth, proactive mindset, and strong collaboration skills to work effectively within cross-functional teams.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop, analyze, and manage system-level requirements aligned with customer and stakeholder needsPerform requirements breakdown from system to subsystem and component levelsDefine and manage interfaces (ICDs) across multiple systems and domainsSupport system architecture definition and ensure alignment with overall E/E architectureCollaborate with cross-functional teams for system integration and validation planningParticipate in DFMEA activities, risk identification, and mitigation strategiesSupport issue investigation and resolution across system lifecycle phasesEnsure compliance with INCOSE-aligned systems engineering principles and guidelinesContribute to continuous improvement of system engineering processes and methodologiesRequired Technical SkillsStrong experience in Systems Engineering within automotive E/E systemsProven expertise in:System architecture understandingRequirements management and traceabilityInterface definition and cross-system integrationExperience supporting:DFMEAValidation planning & executionIssue resolution and root cause analysisKnowledge of:INCOSE systems engineering principlesMBSE concepts (SysML, modeling tools – preferred)Familiarity with tools such as DOORS, Polarion, JAMA, or similarBehavioral Expectations (Critical)Strong listening skills and openness to feedbackProactive and self-driven mindset; takes initiative without waiting for directionAbility to identify risks and gaps early and drive mitigationHighly collaborative, with strong cross-functional communication skillsAdaptable and willing to learn new processes and tools quicklyLeadership & MentorshipMentor and guide junior engineers on systems engineering practicesShare best practices in requirements development and system designContribute to improving overall team technical capability and maturitySupport process improvements and standardization initiativesPreferred QualificationsExperience in automotive domains (ADAS, chassis, powertrain, body electronics, etc.)Exposure to E/E architecture and system integration at vehicle levelExperience with MBSE, SysML, or architecture modeling toolsFamiliarity with ASPICE, ISO 26262, or similar standardsWhat We're Looking ForCandidates who demonstrate:Strong systems thinking and problem-solving abilityClear communication and ability to explain system behavior effectivelyExperience in mentoring or coaching othersProven ability to adapt quickly and work in dynamic environmentsALTEN Technology is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
