Position: Wireless Engineer, Satellite/ CellularLocation: Chantilly, VA-OnsiteDuration: Long TermInterview Process/# of Rounds: 1st round via Teams video with panel | 2nd round panel on-site with a challenge topicSatellite/Telecomm background (2G/4G/5G even 3G helpfulsatellite and ground infrastruture (DVBS2)OSI model for IP comms - they must know this levels 1 and 2Qualifications· A Master’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.· Deep understanding of communication theory and signal processing related algorithms design, such as filter design, clock recovery, signal detection, channel estimation and equalization, channel coding.· Strong knowledge of some communications and networking standards, such as DVB-S2/DVB-S2X, and protocols, such as TCP/IP, UDP, ZeroMQ, Ethernet, etc.· Experience with C/C++, Python, MATLAB for algorithm development, modeling, and simulation.· Strong knowledge of software defined radios - SDRs and their implementation.· Proficiency in working with Linux based systems· Hands-on experience in lab testing & characterization.· Experience using test equipment like signal generators, spectrum analyzers, etc.· Experience with implementing DSP algorithms in HDL, such as SystemVerilog, VHDL is a plus.· Knowledge of the 3GPP standards, including LTE and 5G PHY, MAC, and RRC specifications is a plus.
