Linde Engineering North America LLCAssociate Director Accounting & FinanceThe Woodlands, TX, United States | req27443What you will enjoy doing*You will oversee all activities related to accounting, internal financial controls and external audit for the company, its subsidiaries and divisions, ensuring the effectiveness and adequacy of accounting and control systemsYou will ensure the timely and accurate preparation, review and analysis of the monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements for statutory and management reporting - for the company, its subsidiaries and divisionsMoreover, you will be responsible for the coordination of SOX compliance and audits throughout the organization, and coordination of external financial audits as well as the financial parts of company’s internal audits Serve as a key financial advisor to the Executive Leadership Team and senior management, providing analysis that drives decision‑makingYou will lead the company’s financial planning and forecasting processes, ensuring alignment with corporate and global requirementsCreate and maintains relationships with key stakeholders within the company in order to identify and evaluate root causes of performance challenges as well as opportunities for improvement in the operating and financial resultsIn addition, you will ensure appropriate cash flow reporting and management, and secures the company’s financing in alignment with corporate / global functionsCoordinate with Corporate Tax and external advisors to ensure tax compliance and optimal tax planningAdditionally, you will lead compliance for sales & use tax, property tax, excise tax, and other indirect tax obligations, ensuring accurate accounting, timely submission of returns, and effective audit managementLead initiatives to streamline close processes, reporting cadence, and workflow automationWhat Makes You GreatYou have CPA or CMA preferred You have a bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field, Master’s degree is a plusMoreover, you have minimum ten (10) years of progressive finance and accounting experience - in a medium to large size companyAdvanced skills in Microsoft Office applications with focus on Excel, SAP skills is a plusStrong accounting skills and good understanding of budgeting and planning techniquesAdditionally, you have ability to understand overall business operations, perform analytical reviews and think strategicallyExcellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team and on all levels within the companyYou have a proven track record of leading process improvements and modernizing financial workflowsDemonstrated ability to simplify complex financial topics and communicate with senior leadersStrong business acumen, with the ability to draw insights and challenge assumptionsWhy you will love working with usLinde Engineering Americas (LEA) is a member of the Linde Engineering Division of Linde plc.
