We are seeking a talented and experienced Full Stack Engineer to drive the development of our platform and push the boundaries of what’s possible in the rental technology space.Role Overview:As a Full Stack Engineer, you will be responsible for the end-to-end development of Lif3away’s platform, working on both frontend and backend systems. You will collaborate closely with the product and design teams to develop seamless user experiences and scalable systems. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of modern web technologies, proven experience in building dynamic applications, and the drive to innovate in a fast-paced start-up environment.Key Responsibilities:Platform Development: Frontend Development: Build intuitive, responsive, and dynamic user interfaces using technologies like React, Vue.js, or Angular.Backend Development: Develop robust and scalable backend services using Node.js, Python, Ruby, or similar technologies.Database Management: Design and maintain efficient database architectures (SQL/NoSQL) to store and retrieve data reliably.API Development: Create and maintain secure and scalable APIs (REST/GraphQL) to integrate various systems and services.Cloud Infrastructure: Implement cloud-based services and architecture (AWS, GCP, or Azure) to ensure the platform’s scalability and performance.Code Quality and Optimization:Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.Conduct code reviews and collaborate with other engineers to improve code quality.Optimize platform performance for speed and scalability.Ensure security best practices are followed throughout the development process.Collaboration and Product Development:Work closely with the product team to translate business requirements into technical specifications.Collaborate with UI/UX designers to ensure a seamless user experience.Identify and implement new technologies and features that enhance the platform.Participate in the full software development life cycle, from conception to deployment and beyond.Testing and Debugging:Develop unit, integration, and end-to-end tests to ensure the platform is reliable and bug-free.Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing systems to improve performance and security.Continuous Improvement:Stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends.Proactively identify areas for improvement within the platform and propose innovative solutions.Participate in technical discussions, brainstorming sessions, and contribute to the overall platform strategy.Required Skills & Qualifications:Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Full Stack Engineer, preferably in a start-up environment.Frontend: Strong knowledge of modern JavaScript frameworks (React, Angular, Vue.js) and HTML/CSS.Backend: Experience with server-side languages such as Node.js, Python, Ruby, or similar.Databases: Experience with both relational (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, DynamoDB).Cloud: Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure, and knowledge of DevOps practices.APIs: Experience building and integrating APIs (REST/GraphQL).Version Control: Proficiency with Git and collaboration tools like GitHub/GitLab.Testing & Debugging: Strong understanding of testing frameworks and debugging tools.Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot complex issues and provide scalable solutions.Team Player: Excellent communication skills, with a strong collaborative mindset.Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):Platform Development:Efficiency and accuracy in delivering new features and updates.Performance and scalability improvements in both frontend and backend systems.Reduction of bugs and issues post-launch.Code Quality:Consistent adherence to code standards and best practices.Number of successful code reviews and feedback implementation.Quality of documentation and code readability.Collaboration:Timeliness and quality in translating product requirements into technical solutions.Positive feedback from product and design teams on technical implementation and communication.Contribution to cross-functional meetings and team brainstorming sessions.Testing and Security:Reduction in post-launch bugs due to comprehensive testing.Improvement in platform security and data protection measures.Implementation of effective test automation strategies.Lif3away is an equal opportunity employer.
