Automotive Manufacturing Engineer(GD&T/Certification in dimensional measurement or quality control)

Sr. Manufacturing Engineer, GA Dimensional EngineeringAs a Sr. Manufacturing Engineer, GA Dimensional Engineering, you will be responsible for ensuring that all manufactured parts and assemblies meet precise dimensional specifications and quality standards. The ideal candidate will possess advanced knowledge in dimensional measurement, quality control processes, and the ability to interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD models. You will work closely with the design team to design fixtures that are functional, accurate, efficient, and cost-effective. You will:Blueprint & CAD Interpretation: Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, CAD models, and other design documents to ensure proper measurements and tolerances are understood and adhered to in the production processFixture Integration: Understanding how fixtures integrate with other manufacturing equipment, robots, conveyors, and tools, ensuring smooth operation across the assembly lineProcess Flow and Ergonomics: Ability to design fixtures that align with the assembly line's process flow, ensuring they're easy to use for operators and don't create bottlenecksWork with cross-functional teams to recommend, evaluate and make design and process improvement proposalsWork closely with design and manufacturing engineers to develop, validate and incorporate Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) requirementsCollaboration: Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and engineering teams to provide technical input on design feasibility, manufacturability, and dimensional considerationsGD&T Application: Expertise in interpreting and applying GD&T standards to fixture design, ensuring that parts fit and function according to precise dimensional specificationsTolerance Stack-up Analysis: Ability to evaluate and minimize tolerance stack-ups in the fixture design, which can affect the final assembly's quality and performanceYou bring: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, STEM or related field, or equivalent relevant education and experience. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a dimensional engineering role, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment Strong level GD&T qualification Software Skills: Experience with CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar) and measurement analysis software is a plus Problem-Solving Abilities: Strong analytical skills with a focus on detail and accuracy. Ability to identify and resolve dimensional and quality issues Communication: Excellent communication skills to work effectively with team members, management, and external vendors Certification in dimensional measurement or quality control (e.g.
