This is an opportunity to be part of a dynamic, growing team, leading transactions from start to finish, and working closely with senior leadership, clients and cross-functional teams.What We Offer YouA dynamic and entrepreneurial environment where you will learn and developPotential pathway to a senior banking roleCompetitive compensation packages including health and wellbeing benefits, retirement savings plans, parental leave, and family building benefitsA diverse and inclusive environment that embraces change, innovation, and collaborationCompetitive vacation, personal and volunteer daysEducational resources, matching gift and volunteer programsWhat You’ll DoAssist in the origination and execution of M&A transactionsAct as a primary day-to-day point of contact for clientsLead and manage all aspects of the deal process including developing marketing/execution materials, development of financial projections, analyses and valuation work, as well as providing critical support and input on tactics and negotiations, as requiredCoordinate and review the analytical work of junior bankers to move marketing and execution processes forward, and with maximum impactCoordinate internally across products, and with external parties on transactions as necessaryOversee diligence processes and identify/manage risks related to each dealHow You’ll LeadCapacity to take initiative as well as assume responsibilityWillingness and desire to effectively train and mentor junior bankers to foster a high-performance cultureCreate a positive, effective work environment conducive to open communications, taking initiatives, and collaborative problem-solving team cultureProvide sound and balanced judgments based on strong professional, ethical, regulatory, and legal standardsSkills You’ll NeedExperience working with senior level managementAbility to build trusted relationships with clientsExperience in originating, executing and structuring public and private M&A transactionsEstablished experience providing quantitative and analytical support for M&A transactions with understanding of capital markets products (IPOs, equity follow-ons, investment grade and leveraged finance debt offerings)Experience supporting senior bankers across all stages of a transaction lifecycle, including pitching and bake off, preparing marketing materials and financial models and deal executionAbility to perform detailed financial modeling and valuation analyses on public and private companies (including but not limited to – DCF, comparables analysis, precedent transactions, merger analysis, LBO and other valuation analyses)Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with specific ability to communicate concepts and ideas concisely and defend their validityAbility to present to internal constituents and external clients effectively and with confidenceCurrently a Vice President in the M&A department of a bulge bracket investment bank or boutique advisory firmBachelor’s degree (advanced degree preferred)Series 79 and 63 licenses Expectations It is the Bank’s expectation that employees hired into this role will work in office at One Columbus Circle, New York, NY.Deutsche Bank provides reasonable accommodations to candidates and employees with a substantiated need based on disability and/or religion.The salary range for this position in New York City is $250,000 - $275,000. Actual salaries may be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate’s skill set, experience, education, work location and other qualifications.
