Zoom Phone Implementation Engineer (Part-Time, Remote)

Rx3 CommunicationsRemoteMay 24th, 2026
RX3 Communications is a Certified Zoom Partner and HUBZone-certified small business. Our Zoom Phone practice is scaling fast across commercial and SLED clients, and we're hiring a part-time implementation engineer to help us deliver — and to help us build the tooling that makes each deployment faster than the last. This is not a traditional telecom role. We want a UC engineer who already writes code and uses AI tooling as a force multiplier. You'll be migrating clients off Cisco, Mitel, Avaya, Webex Calling, RingCentral, 8x8 (and any other crazy, one-off system our clients throw at us) — and along the way prototyping the parsers, portals, and automations that turn one-off projects into reusable assets. As a participant in the SBA's Hubzone program, RX3 gives round 1 interview preference to candidates whose primary residence is located within a designated Hubzone. Not sure whether your residence qualifies? You can check here: https://maps.certify.sba.govWhat you'll doLead Zoom Phone migrations end-to-end: discovery, design, number management, configuration, cutover support, and post-launch tuningExtract and reconcile data from legacy platforms (Cisco CUCM, Mitel, Avaya, Webex Calling, RingCentral, 8x8, etc.) using APIs, exports, and whatever else the source system allows — it shouldn't matter what system we're pulling data out ofBuild internal tools and customer-facing artifacts — data parsers, documentation portals, dashboards, training collateral — using AI coding toolsDevelop and deliver end-user and admin training, with materials designed to scale across clientsContribute reusable components to our growing implementation toolkit (Python, TypeScript, React/Vue, Supabase)Partner with our field deployment team, who handles on-site cutover work, so you stay focused on engineering and deliveryWhat you needHands-on Zoom Phone experience: sites, users, auto receptionists, call queues, SBC/BYOC, number porting. If you don't have Zoom Phone specifically but bring deep experience on one of the other platforms, tell us — we'll consider it.Demonstrated experience migrating clients between UC platforms — any meaningful combination of CUCM, Mitel, Avaya, Webex Calling, RingCentral, 8x8 (or your platform(s) of choice)Working proficiency in Python and TypeScript; comfortable building small full-stack tools with React or Vue on the front-end and Supabase (or similar) on the back-endFluent with REST APIs, OAuth, webhooks, and pulling structured data out of systems that don't want to give it upDaily user of AI coding assistants (Claude, Cursor, Copilot, etc.) — this is core to how we work, not a bonusStrong written communication; you can produce client-ready documentation without it being painfulStrongly preferredContact Center lifecycle experience — design, implementation, and ongoing care and feeding.
