Position SummaryWe are seeking a skilled CNC Programmer with 5-10 years of experience programming both CNC milling and turning machines in a precision aerospace manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have strong experience using Mastercam to develop efficient, high-quality machining programs and will work closely with machinists, manufacturing engineers, and quality personnel to ensure parts meet all engineering and customer specificThis role requires strong knowledge of multi-axis machining, GD&T, tooling strategies, and aerospace quality requirements.Key ResponsibilitiesCNC ProgrammingDevelop, optimize, and maintain CNC programs using Mastercam for both CNC mills and CNC lathes.Program 3-axis, 4-axis, and 5-axis milling operations where applicable.Program CNC turning centers, including live tooling and mill-turn operations when applicable.Generate toolpaths, verify machining strategies, and simulate programs to prevent collisions and inefficiencies.Process DevelopmentReview engineering drawings, models, and specifications to determine machining strategy.Select appropriate tooling, fixtures, and machining methods to optimize cycle times and part quality.Create setup sheets, tool lists, and work instructions for shop floor machinists.Support first article runs and troubleshoot machining issues during production.Continuous ImprovementOptimize programs to improve cycle time, tool life, and overall machining efficiency.Collaborate with manufacturing leadership to implement lean manufacturing practices and reduce waste.Assist with fixture design and manufacturing process improvements.Production SupportWork closely with CNC machinists during setup and prove-out.Provide technical support for production machining challenges.Assist with troubleshooting machine alarms, tool wear, and dimensional issues.Quality & ComplianceEnsure programs meet customer specifications and aerospace quality standards.Support First Article Inspection (FAI) / AS9102 documentation when required.Understand and apply GD&T principles to machining strategies.Maintain revision control of programs and documentation.Required Qualifications5-10 years CNC programming experience in a precision machining environment.Expert-level proficiency with Mastercam.Experience programming both:CNC MillsCNC LathesAbility to read and interpret:complex engineering drawingsCAD modelsGD&T calloutsExperience with multi-axis machining strategies.Strong understanding of cutting tools, speeds & feeds, and material behavior.Experience with tight tolerance aerospace components.Preferred QualificationsExperience in aerospace or defense manufacturing.Familiarity with machines such as:HaasMori Seiki / DMG MoriMill-Turn platformsExperience with fixture design.Knowledge of AS9100 quality systems.Experience with solid modeling CAD software (SolidWorks, Fusion, or similar).Understanding of lean manufacturing or continuous improvement methodologies.Key SkillsMastercam ProgrammingMulti-Axis MachiningGD&T InterpretationTooling & Fixture StrategyProcess OptimizationProblem SolvingCross-functional CommunicationEqual Opportunity Employer / Disabled / Protected VeteransThe Know Your Rights poster is available here:https://www.eeoc.gov/sites/default/files/2023-06/22-088_EEOC_KnowYourRights6.12.pdfThe pay transparency policy is available here:https://www.dol.gov/sites/dolgov/files/ofccp/pdf/pay-transp_%20English_formattedESQA508c.pdfFor temporary assignments lasting 13 weeks or longer, AppleOne is pleased to offer major medical, dental, vision, 401k and any statutory sick pay where required.We are committed to working with and providing reasonable accommodations to individuals with disabilities.
