Computer Numerical Control Programmer

We’re partnering with a growing advanced manufacturing company developing next-generation fiber optic technologies used in AI infrastructure and high-performance data centers. As demand for AI and chip-level optical systems continues to accelerate, the team is expanding its precision machining group.We are seeking a CNC Programmer with hands-on experience machining fiber optic components or optical surfaces. This role focuses on high-precision micro-machining, producing extremely small components used in cutting-edge photonic and semiconductor applications.If you enjoy working at the intersection of advanced manufacturing, optics, and emerging technology, this is an opportunity to work on systems helping power the next wave of AI and data center innovation.What You’ll DoProgram and optimize 3-axis and 5-axis CNC milling and micro-grinding operationsDevelop CNC programs for high-precision optical and fiber-optic related componentsWork directly from CAD models to create programs from scratch and refine existing part familiesDesign and validate machining setups and fixturing for precision partsImplement probing routines for part alignment and verification using Renishaw probing systemsUtilize tool measurement and compensation systems to maintain tight tolerancesCollaborate closely with engineering and manufacturing teams to improve process reliability and surface qualityTroubleshoot machining challenges and continuously improve cycle times and machining performanceDocument machining programs, setups, and process parametersWhat We’re Looking ForStrong CNC programming experience with 3-axis and 5-axis machiningExperience working with micro-machining or optical componentsHands-on fiber optics manufacturing experience is strongly preferredExperience with Siemens NX CAD/CAM or similar CAM softwareExperience with Renishaw probing or tool setting systems
