GroundskeeperReports to: Director of MaintenanceDept./School: MaintenanceWage/Hour Status: Non-exemptPay Grade/Days: Auxiliary 4/239 daysDate Revised: 6/4/2024Primary Purpose:Maintains and cares for athletic fields, athletic facilities, and school grounds.Qualifications:Education/Certification:High school diploma or equivalent is desiredValid Texas driver's licenseSpecial Knowledge/Skills:Possess a good mechanical aptitude.Possess a good working knowledge of the care and operation of landscaping tools/equipment.Communicates effectively both orally and written.Must have an excellent driving record.Ability to operate field marking and grooming equipmentExperience:This is an entry level position. Grounds keeping experience is desired.Major Responsibilities and Duties:Maintain, clean and care for athletic fields, athletic facilities and school grounds.Perform preventative maintenance, minor repairs and adjustments to tools/equipment as directed.Mark athletic fields/courses as directed.Collect and dispose of litter and refuse.Work with building maintenance and/or perform indoor cleaning/maintenance as directed.Perform minor repairs to athletic facilities.Operate sprinkling equipment. Maintain watering schedule.Work mornings following athletic events (involves weekend work).Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor/Director.Regular AttendanceSupervisory Responsibilities:None.Equipment Used:Basic hand tools and outdoor power equipment.
