The ideal candidate will bring deep healthcare accounting expertise and a thorough understanding of reimbursement and reporting requirements.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee all accounting operations including general ledger, month-end close, and financial reportingLead and manage Medicare and cost reporting processes, ensuring full regulatory complianceManage multi-entity consolidations and intercompany transactionsEnsure compliance with GAAP and healthcare-specific regulatory requirementsCoordinate and lead the annual audit processMaintain and enhance internal controls and accounting policiesPartner with leadership on financial performance, budgeting, and operational insightsLead, develop, and mentor the accounting teamRequired QualificationsCPA requiredHealthcare industry experience required (hospital, health system, rehabilitation, post-acute, or similar)Direct experience with Medicare reporting and/or cost reports8+ years of progressive accounting experienceStrong expertise in financial reporting, consolidations, and auditProven ability to lead while remaining hands-onExperience in a multi-entity or complex organizational structureIdeal BackgroundCurrent Controller or Assistant Controller within a healthcare organizationAccounting leader with deep experience in Medicare reimbursement and reportingCPA with healthcare-focused public accounting experience and exposure to cost reportingWhat Makes This Role DifferentThis role goes beyond traditional accounting oversight.
