Travel Physical Therapist in Portland, TX (Hiring Immediately)

Provide critical physical therapy services in a hospital setting to help restore and enhance patient mobility and function following illness, injury, or surgery. This role involves planning and implementing prescribed therapy programs-including exercises, massage, and the use of therapeutic equipment-and closely monitoring patient progress to achieve maximum recovery.Responsibilities: Interpret and execute physician-prescribed physical therapy treatments in accordance with professional practice guidelines. Oversee and direct physical therapy assistants, support staff, volunteers, and students, ensuring high standards of care and effective use of resources. Contribute to performance evaluations of assistants and support personnel. Maintain patient confidentiality and ensure safety and well-being of patients and staff. Perform additional duties as assigned. Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program. Licensed by the Texas Board of Physical Therapy & Occupational Therapy Examiners. Basic Life Support (BLS, AHA) certification. Familiarity with the American Physical Therapy Association Code of Ethics and Guide to Physical Therapy Practice. Excellent communication skills. New graduates are welcome to apply; prior experience preferred. Schedule/Hours: Full-time, 5 days a week, 8-hour day shifts from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
